Case study

Stumps ‘R’ Us.

Stumps ‘R’ Us wins work over the phone, so I built a site where every section ends with a call. It answers the gate-access worry early, shows how easy hiring is and puts the full phone number on every button for one-tap calling.

// how it was built

From brief to launch.

For a one-machine operator, a phone call is the conversion, so I planned every step of this build to lead there.

  1. 01 discover

    Work comes by phone

I learned the business runs on one operator and one grinder, and that calls, not forms, bring in jobs.

  2. 02 plan

    Answer the doubt

I placed the machine's size facts at the top to deal with the fenced-yard concern before visitors raised it.

  3. 03 design

    Gold and brown

I set the gold-outlined logo over an action shot of the grinder and added a brown banner of trust points.

  4. 04 build

    Call buttons everywhere

I closed each section with a call prompt and displayed the full number on every button for one-tap dialling.

  5. 05 content

    Hiring made simple

I added the tree removal video, the emergency badge, payment icons and several versions of the free estimate offer.

  6. 06 ✓ shipped

    Menu and pages

I connected the gallery, blog and contact page to the menu and tested one-tap calling on phones.

What I did

The build, step by step.

  • The gate question, answered early. The opening explains that the grinder cuts large stumps below ground yet fits through a standard backyard gate.
  • Calls over forms. Every section ends by urging a call, and every button shows the full phone number.
  • Easy to hire. A tree removal video, a round-the-clock emergency badge and icons for cash, cheque, Visa and Mastercard show there are no hurdles.
  • A western-tinged brand. The gold-outlined logo sits over the grinder throwing chips, with a brown banner describing the business as reliable, fair on price, professional and insured.
  • Free estimates, repeated. The offer is restated several ways as the homepage scrolls, so no visitor misses it.
