Case study

Moon Night Media.

I built a digital download shop for Moon Night Media's LUT and preset collections. Filmmakers and photographers are sceptical of filters, so I set untouched RAW frames next to graded ones and kept the store itself quiet so the colour in the photos does the talking.

// how it was built

From brief to launch.

This shop sells something buyers only trust once they see it, so every step of the build came back to showing the grade clearly.

  1. 01 discover

    Buyer doubts

I looked at why filmmakers hesitate over presets, and the answer kept coming back to seeing a grade on real footage.

  2. 02 plan

    Story, then catalogue

I ordered the homepage so the brand background and style tiles lead into the products, with the comparison panel lower down as proof.

  3. 03 design

    Neutral frame

I kept the interface white and minimal so the coastal wedding photography supplies nearly all the colour.

  4. 04 build

    Digital collections

I set up each collection as a downloadable product, then added the usage steps strip, the FAQ accordion and the sample pack opt-in.

  5. 05 optimise

    Phone viewing

I limited small screens to one collection at a time and let comparison panels run full width so the grade stays large.

  6. 06 ✓ shipped

    Live and selling

Each collection became downloadable straight after purchase, with client brand logos and testimonials placed above the comparison section.

What I did

The build, step by step.

  • Proof before purchase. A comparison panel puts an ungraded RAW frame next to the finished grade, and on phones it stretches edge to edge so the colour can be judged properly.
  • Browse by look. Category tiles for styles such as coastal sunset LUTs or wedding presets come before the catalogue, so buyers start from the mood they want.
  • Instant downloads. I configured every collection as a digital product, so a purchase goes straight to a file with no shipping step.
  • Email for a free sample. Visitors can trade an email address for a sample pack and test the grade on their own work first.
  • A store that stays quiet. White space, a plain product grid, a short how-to strip and an FAQ accordion keep the focus on the images.
