Case study

A-1 Waste.

I built A-1 Waste a small, fast site that answers the three things every renter asks: which size, what price, and do you deliver to my town. Every booking button hands off to Docket, the rental software the office already runs on, so new orders land where the team works.

// how it was built

From brief to launch.

A-1 Waste needed a short site that does its work on a phone at a job site. Here is how I got it there.

  1. 01 discover

    Customer questions

I listed what a renter needs to know before ordering and found three that decided most bookings: size, cost and delivery area.

  2. 02 plan

    Few pages, clear order

I held the site to a few pages and sequenced the homepage to answer those questions in the order people raise them.

  3. 03 design

    Truck branding

I pulled the red and chrome badge from the company trucks and paired it with high-contrast cards, red iconography and a near-black footer.

  4. 04 integrate

    Docket booking

I connected each container's booking button to Docket so new rentals show up in the system the office checks every day.

  5. 05 optimise

    Rural connections

I trimmed image weight and script load, then put call and book actions first on mobile for people ordering from the field.

  6. 06 ✓ shipped

    Local reach

At go-live the site promoted same-day delivery, named every community covered and linked to its social accounts.

What I did

The build, step by step.

  • Sizes people can picture. I described each of the two containers by the rough number of kitchen trash bags it swallows, so nobody has to guess volume.
  • Booking wired into Docket. Every size card has its own button that opens the Docket order flow the office staff were already using.
  • Coverage answered up front. Jackson and the surrounding towns are listed on the homepage, which also gives local searches something to match.
  • An FAQ built for gloves. I made the collapsible rows large enough to tap on a job site, and put longer business rentals in there too.
  • Light enough for weak signal. I kept images and scripts lean so pages still load on the patchy rural connections many contractors order from.
