Case study

Bar Expert Witness.

I built a dark, courtroom-serious homepage for a dram shop expert firm. It walks a lawyer from the case types handled, through numbered retention steps and services, to expert bios and an intake form that accepts the original complaint as an upload.

// how it was built

From brief to launch.

Lawyers vet an expert firm long before they call, so I built this page around their hiring steps.

  1. 01 discover

    How counsel hires

I mapped the real retention sequence, from checking conflicts to assessing fit and signing a retainer.

  2. 02 plan

    Hiring-path layout

I ordered sections as case types, retention steps, core services and expert biographies at the foot.

  3. 03 design

    Black, red, neon

I set red numerals on black, added warm bar photography and chose a narrow capital typeface.

  4. 04 build

    Intake with upload

I built the case form with location fields and an upload so the complaint arrives with the request.

  5. 05 test

    Phone layout

I made sure the retention steps stretch full width on mobile and the form stays single-column.

  6. 06 ✓ shipped

    Closing sections

The page went live ending on the animated venue count, the testimony integrity section and the map footer.

What I did

The build, step by step.

  • The page mirrors retention. Case types come first, then conflict checks, fit and the retainer, then services such as written case reports and deposition work.
  • Big red step numbers. Each retention stage is marked in red on deep black, readable at a glance.
  • Upload the complaint. The intake form takes contact details plus where the case is located, and accepts an uploaded file so counsel can attach documents.
  • Nightlife, but professional. Neon and whiskey photography brings warmth while a tall condensed capital typeface keeps things formal.
  • A strong close. An animated counter of venues nationwide and a section on testimony integrity end the page, above a footer with a map and contact details.
