Better Window & Door.
I built Better Window & Door a patient, no-pressure site that explains the options clearly and lets homeowners ask for a quote when they are ready. Window styles are drawn as technical diagrams, a page for each town helps with local search, and a quote button paired with a phone option sits beside the reviews.
HOVER TO SCROLL
From brief to launch.
The company wanted to stand apart from pushy competitors, so I kept the build calm and informative from the first section to the final call to action.
-
01 discover
Honest, local, own crews
I learned the business sells on its long local record and in-house installers, and wanted a site with no hard sell.
-
02 plan
Organised for comparison
I planned service and promise groups, a style catalogue, reviews, a two-column FAQ, a news feed and separate town pages.
-
03 design
Navy, white and diagrams
I alternated navy and white with compact blue tags above each heading and chose technical drawings over photos for the styles.
-
04 build
Catalogue and town pages
I built the illustrated style cards, the local landing pages, the news carousel and the tap-to-open FAQ.
-
05 optimise
Local search reach
I set up the individual town pages so homeowners searching in each community can find the company.

Consultation close
I ended the page with a free consultation band right before the footer, following the Windsor-focused FAQ and recent articles.
The build, step by step.
- Two sets of four. I grouped content into four services covering installation through to energy efficiency upgrades, and four quality promises about weatherproofing, custom design, careful fitting and hassle-free replacement.
- Styles drawn like a manual. Each window style, whether casement, picture, bay or double hung, gets a schematic and a note on where it works best.
- A page for each town. I built a locations menu that opens individual pages for the communities served, helping with local searches.
- Quotes without pressure. Paired buttons next to the star-rated reviews let homeowners request a quote or simply phone.
- Navy framing and tidy FAQs. A brick home in a deep navy frame opens the site, the FAQ runs in two columns and on mobile each answer expands when tapped.
