Case study

Jarvis International.

I built a WordPress site for a long-established security and investigations firm that cannot talk about most of its cases. Instead of case stories, I let verifiable details carry the weight: a visible state licence number, named client testimonials and a clear route for job applicants.

// how it was built

From brief to launch.

Confidential work meant I could not rely on case studies, so the timeline focused on finding other ways to prove the firm is legitimate.

  1. 01 discover

    Working around secrecy

I listed what the firm could publicly share, which pointed to the licence number, client testimonials and service range.

  2. 02 plan

    Trust before detail

I planned the page so credibility signals appear early and service specifics follow for those who want them.

  3. 03 design

    Charcoal and red

I drew accents from the globe logo and chose understated security photography rather than dramatic stock shots.

  4. 04 build

    Sections and grid

In WordPress I built the alternating service blocks, the investigations grid and the client testimonial row.

  5. 05 integrate

    Contact and location

I added a brief enquiry form and a map marking the Tulsa office, plus the red hiring link in the header.

  6. 06 ✓ shipped

    Readable on phones

I checked the headline over the dimmed skyline and the two-row mobile header before handing the site over.

What I did

The build, step by step.

  • Facts over adjectives. The state licence number appears openly on the page, giving visitors something they can actually verify.
  • Services in rhythm. Guarding and surveillance blocks alternate left and right, then a grid lists investigation types from IP disputes to compensation fraud.
  • Hiring always visible. Job seekers get a red recruitment link in the header, because a guard company is almost always recruiting.
  • Quiet, practical imagery. Charcoal backgrounds, red from the globe logo and photos of monitors, lenses and CCTV cameras keep the tone serious.
  • A header that rearranges. On phones the logo gets its own row, and navigation plus the hiring link move beneath it.
