Case study

Security Liability.

I built a black and yellow site for an expert practice that analyses what went wrong with venue security. Attorneys needed to grasp the service range, the stages of an engagement and how to submit a request, so I structured the site around those three questions.

// how it was built

From brief to launch.

This brand started from nothing online, so I built its identity and the engagement structure in the same pass.

  1. 01 discover

    A separate voice

I noted the founder's related practice and set out to make this brand visually and verbally distinct from it.

  2. 02 plan

    Scope and stages

I organised the content into engagement levels and service cards for clubs, live music audits, event risk, venue consulting and policy review.

  3. 03 design

    Hi-vis on black

I chose the uniform-inspired palette and crest, then paired a guard photo with the request form.

  4. 04 build

    Linked form logic

I coded the service cards to pass their selection into the request form dropdown.

  5. 05 content

    Credibility at launch

I added case study teasers on crowd management and concert safety, experience figures and safety blog posts.

  6. 06 ✓ shipped

    Phone checks

I confirmed nothing was cut from the stacked level lists and that the banner number triggers a call before handover.

What I did

The build, step by step.

  • Styled like a uniform. High-visibility yellow on black and a badge-shaped crest borrow directly from security staff clothing.
  • The setting in the photos. Dark overlays on neon club imagery put visitors in the kinds of venues where incidents happen.
  • Levels of involvement. The practice reads as a ladder from investigation and reports to depositions and courtroom testimony.
  • A request form that remembers. Choosing a service card opens the form with that service already picked in the dropdown.
  • Built for quick calls. On phones the engagement levels stack in full, and the number in the banner opens the dialler with one tap.
